modern_queers_c_y_website_gifCreated in equal measure with lovers and friends Rachael Clerke, Danny Prosser, Jacob Cain and Hannah Aspinall, Modern Queers is an international quarterly print newsletter distributed by post. Inspired by newsletters circulated by the LGBTQIA+ community in the 70s, 80s and 90s, Modern Queers is an attempt to create new networks, share news and be physically connected around the world in the digital age.

It’s for queers by queers. By queer we mean someone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and/or socially and politically identifies as queer. It is compiled and printed in Bristol. It exists in direct response to a lack of real-life queer spaces and the digital overwhelm and underwhelm of the COVID-19 era.

The content is created through submission and by invitation. It may include stories, recommendations, news, letters, personal ads, replies to previous articles, skill swap, reviews, recipes… anything in writing. You can subscribe to receive it and/or submit content. Modern Queers can be received A4, A3 (large-print) or as an audio file.

There are now 409 subscribers to Modern Queers. If you would like to receive Modern Queers through your letterbox you can sign up HERE
